MCBDD conducts food, money drive for Second Harvest

As part of the Always There Week of Service, the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities is conducting a food and money drive for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley today through next Monday.

Collection boxes for food donations are at all MCBDD facilities from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and monetary donations will be accepted at the main offices of all program facilities. For every $1 donated, Second Harvest can distribute $11 worth of food.

Most-needed items include peanut butter, cereal, canned vegetables, canned fruit, tuna fish, dry pasta, canned soup and macaroni and cheese.

Facilities are: Board Office, Adult Services MASCO, and Early Intervention, all 4791 Woodridge Drive, Austintown; Community Services, 130 Javit Court, Austintown; Centre@Javit Court, 153 Javit Court, Austintown; MASCO, 160 Marwood Circle, Boardman; MASCO, 825 Bev Road, Boardman; Leonard Kirtz School, 4801 Woodridge Drive, Austintown; and Transportation Department, 4795 Woodridge Drive, Austintown.
