Stolen car, drugs, outstanding warrant: This ends badly for couple

BOARDMAN — Two people were arrested Thursday at a Market Street motel after police discovered the car they were in was listed as a stolen vehicle.

Harriett Randolph, 50, of Youngstown is charged with receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say the car she was using was entered as stolen by Youngstown police. The paraphernalia charge stems from police reportedly finding a crack pipe in the car.

A passenger in the vehicle, Robert Grier, 46, of Youngstown was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for having an open container of alcohol. Police reportedly found a crack pipe on him, too.

Additionally, a felony drug investigation was initiated after Randolph told police, "I paid for the motel, he paid for the drugs," leading police to look for drugs and find a bag of suspected crack cocaine on the ground where Grier had been standing.

Grier also was arrested on a theft warrant out of Boardman.
