Music at Noon series at museum

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music’s Music at Noon series at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., will continue in February. All performances take place at 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays. Admission is free. Here is the schedule:

Wednesday: Dana Chorale Korea tour preview

Feb. 8: String studio recital

Feb. 15: Piano studio recital

Feb. 22: Tuba and euphonium ensemble

Due to the reconstruction of Wick Avenue, visitors should follow posted signage or park in the M30 Wick Avenue deck via the back entrance from Walnut Street, and walk over the footbridge bridge to the Butler.

Couples can sip, paint at the JCC

YOUNGSTOWN

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, will have a sip and paint evening for couples Feb. 9 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

An easel, paint, canvas, aprons, snacks, wine and an instructor will be provided. No experience is required. The instructor will give step-by-step instructions and each participant will create a piece of art that they can keep.

The cost is $40 ($30 for JCC members). To register, call the bursar’s office at 330-746-3250, ext. 195.
