Youngstown vice squad investigating suspected drug activities at city homes

YOUNGSTOWN — Members of the vice squad and Community Police Unit on Thursday serving search warrants investigating drug activity at two different homes found two guns, more than $2,800 cash and pulls, heroin and cocaine.

About 5:10 p.m. at a 1603 Himrod Ave. home on the East Side, police found $2,058 in cash, eight suboxone strips, two scales, 52 different types of painkillers, heroin, cocaine, ammunition and a 9mm handgun. Three people were arrested.

About 3:50 p.m. at a home on New York Avenue on the North Side, police found $781 cash, six individual bags of crack cocaine, two bags of cocaine, a bag of heroin, ammunition and a .45-caliber handgun. One person was arrested there.

All four will be arraigned in municipal court this afternoon.
