Tuesday, January 17, 2017

YOUNGSTOWN — An Austintown man is expected to be arraigned later today in municipal court on his sixth charge of operating a vehicle impaired.

Vincent Tuchek, 46, of Carnegie Avenue, also faces a charge of resisting arrest. He was taken into custody about 10:40 p.m. Friday after police responded to a call of an accident in the 1100 block of Salt Springs Road on the West Side.

Reports said when officers arrived Tuchek was holding a can of beer and immediately began swearing at police and continued taunting them from the accident scene to the Mahoning County jail.

He refused to allow himself to be taken into custody and also refused to take field sobriety and breath tests, reports said.

Reports said Tuchek smelled heavily of alcohol.
