Today’s entertainment picks:

v “Vaudeville at the Vic,” 7:30 p.m.: A wacky family-friendly night of comedy sketches, music and more ($12) at Victorian Players Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.

v “No More Peace!,” 7:30 p.m.: Ernst Toller, a Jew who was exiled from Germany by Hitler, wrote this biting satirical comedy in 1935 ($16, $8 for seniors and students). It’s in Spotlight Theater, inside Bliss Hall, on the Youngstown State University campus; 330-941-3105.

v “Songs of the King,” 7:30 p.m.: Easy Street Productions brings back its cabaret show ($25) based on the music of Elvis Presley. It’s at Overture Restaurant, in the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown; 330-744-0264.

“Grimm” (8 p.m., NBC): As the final season of “Grimm” continues, deadly attacks against scientists lead Nick, Hank and Wu on an investigation unlike no other. Meanwhile, as the research continues into the origins of the cloth, Monroe and Rosalee learn that Eve is feeling the effects of the death grip.

‘Rock of Ages’ auditions at theater

SALEM

Salem Community Theatre, 490 E. State St., will have auditions for the musical “ Rock of Ages” at 7 p.m. Sunday. Those who cannot make it at that time can schedule a separate audition by calling 330-332-9688.

Auditionees will read from the script and should be prepared to sing a verse and chorus from a rock song from the 1980s or ’90s. The show includes hits from Bon Jovi, Poison, Pat Benatar, Journey and others. Performances will take place June 30 and July 1, 7 and 8.

US military band in free concert

BOARDMAN

The U.S. Fleet Forces Band, an offshoot of the U.S. Navy Concert Band, will present a free concert in the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave., at 7 p.m. March 13. Although the concert is free, reservations are required, and can be made by calling 330-259-7150.

Art installation at YSU gallery

YOUNGSTOWN

Modern installation artist Kjellgren Alkire will give a free lecture at Youngstown State University’s McDonough Museum of Art at 5:10 p.m.

Alkire also will create an exhibition, Blanketforts, in the Judith Rae Solomon Gallery in Bliss Hall, adjacent to the McDonough, and it will be on display from March 6-31.

Alkire has been awarded many prestigious grants, including the 2014 Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists, a Minnesota State Arts Board Artists Initiative Grant, a Contemporary Forum Award from the Phoenix Art Museum, and Project Funding from the Missouri Arts Council.
