Art show, workshop at Peter Allen Inn
KINSMAN
Peter Allen Inn and Event Center, 8581 State St., is accepting applicants for its spring art show, sale and wine tasting, which will be March 12 from noon to 5 p.m.

Landscape artist Thomas McNickle will do a live painting event at the show and talk about his work and philosophy at 2 p.m.
McNickle will lead a daylong workshop in watercolor painting the day before, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $100 per person, and students must bring their own supplies.
The workshop will consist of a lecture, demonstrations and time for student painting. Participants will focus on the dynamics of the painting process; and learning how to reduce the subject to the elements of form, color and texture.
Historian to discuss ‘Kennedy at 100’
SHARON, PA.
Philip Nash will give a free lecture titled “John F. Kennedy at 100” at 7 p.m. Monday in room 105 of Sharon Hall, on the Penn State Shenango campus on Penn Avenue, downtown.
Nash,an associate professor of history at the university, was a Fulbright visiting professor at the National University of Singapore.
His expertise is in recent U.S. history, but he teaches on a variety of subjects, including the Holocaust, Vietnam and African-American history. He often appears in the history podcasts at professorbuzzkill.com and on the Ron Errett Show at WPIC-AM 790 and 790wpic.com. His publications include the book “The Other Missiles of October” (1997). He is currently finishing a book manuscript on America’s first female ambassadors.

Artist lecture at the McDonough
YOUNGSTOWN
Contemporary artist Summer Zickefoose will give a free lecture at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonough Museum of Art, on the Youngstown State University campus.
Zickefoose’s sculptures, performances, videos and installations have been exhibited in several European countries.
