TODAY

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell takeout-only cavatelli dinners with homemade sauce from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meals also include two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, and dessert for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball will cost $5. Pasta fagioli will be sold for $6 a quart and sauce for $5 a quart. Place your order, remain in your car, and your dinner will be delivered to you.

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have homemade dinners to go from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7, and the meal includes baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans. Drive to the front of the church, and someone will deliver your order. Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out for $8 each. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will host a dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. The meal comprises a choice of haddock, chicken or shrimp with fries, coleslaw and a roll for $10. Pirogi are $4.50 and a child’s dinner, $5. Meals are carryout or eat-in. Beverages will be available. Call 330-654-5630.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; macaroni and cheese, haluski, pirogi or french fries; green beans or coleslaw; roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 7 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up from noon to 2 p.m.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday or from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the church hall. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will be selling vegetable beef soup Friday and Saturday. The cost is $6 per quart, and orders should be made to the church office, 330-799-9390. Take your own containers.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 for a baker’s dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.75 a dozen. Cabbage pirogi orders are limited to three dozen per customer. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will host an all-you-can-eat fried fish dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The meal includes french fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and applesauce. Four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp dinners also are available. Cost is $9. A chicken fingers dinner or fish dinner for seniors is $8.50, and a fish dinner for children under 10 is $5.50. The meals are offered the first and third Fridays of each month.

SATURDAY

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult portions is $9 and child’s portion is $5. The menu includes homestyle mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, bread and beverage. Takeouts and baked goods will be available.

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The menu includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert. Takeouts will be available. The cost is $9.50 for adults, $5 for ages 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and under. The church is handicap-accessible.

SUNDAY

Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus 3930 is sponsoring a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd, Austintown. The menu consists of pancakes, sausage and beverages. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Southington American Legion Post will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the legion home, 3145 Warren Burton Road. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children 12 under and free for kids under 4. Sausage is included or biscuits and gravy also are offered.

St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, will host a drive-through chicken breast dinner from noon until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $9. No need to get out of your car; drive to the back parking lot of the school off Schenley Avenue and make a left turn to the first set of kitchen doors. Your dinners will be delivered to you.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 state Route 422, New Bedford, Pa., will host breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets for adults are $8 and for children, $4. The meal includes French toast; sweet cheese filling; buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes with a choice of syrups; scrambled eggs and scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries; bacon, sausage and ham; toast; cinnamon rolls; hot and cold cereals; and coffee, tea, juices and milk.

St. Mary Church, 3504 Main St. (state Route 46), Mineral Ridge, will host a pancake, French toast, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals are $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 11 and free for ages 4 and under. For takeouts call 330-652-8319.

St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. The menu includes salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Carryouts are available, and containers will be provided. Members of the Walsh University chamber singers will offer a one-hour concert from 1:30 to 2:30. The concert is free and open to the community. Freewill donations are welcome. VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Apostles Parish, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for stuffed cabbage. Orders must be placed by Feb. 13 by calling Dorothy at 330-783-2252. Pickup is 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 19. Cost for one dozen cabbage rolls is $25. Rolls are packaged in a foil pan that can be reheated in an oven or frozen.

Saxon Culture Group's semiannual sausage sale will offer 3- and 5-pound packages of large links in mild, hot and Saxon-recipe garlic flavors and 5-pound packages of bulk in all flavors. The cost is $3.50 per pound. Orders should be picked up from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 4 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
