YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said a man struggling with police Tuesday had chunks of suspected cocaine falling out of his mouth.

Officers pulled over a car about 6:15 p.m. at Parkview Avenue and Volney Road on the South Side driven by Tedarro Williams, 31, of West Princeton Avenue, for an improper turn.

Reports said when Williams spoke to police he tried to hide his mouth from them and when they finally saw his mouth his lips were covered with a white powder and there was a bulge in his cheek.

Officers ordered him to spit out whatever was in his mouth by Williams refused and when officers tried to handcuff him, he resisted and they ended up falling to the ground. As they fell, reports said the chunks of powder came out of Williams’ mouth.

After Williams was cuffed, he spit out two bags of suspected cocaine, reports said. He was booked into the Mahoning County jail on charges of possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence.
