Today’s entertainment picks:

v American Made Songwriters Series, 7:30 p.m.: Country music songwriters Bob DiPiero, Kix Brooks, Shane Minor and Jimmy Stewart will play the songs they have composed on acoustic guitars, swap jokes and spill the stories behind the music in this intimate show ($25 to $75) at Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. v Osuna and Omagari, 7 p.m.: The New York-based piano-violin duo will perform (free admission) at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown.

“Let It Fall: LOS ANGELES 1982-1992” (9 P.M., ABC): This searing documentary from Oscar-winner John Ridley examines the key events in the decade leading up to the Los Angeles riots, which began after the “not guilty” verdict in the Rodney King case.

Boardman bands in spring concert

BOARDMAN

The spring concert of the Boardman High bands will take place Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave. It will feature the school’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. Admission is $3 ($2 for students, free for senior citizens).

Also performing will be senior soloist Emily Mook on the flute, who will be accompanied by the Wind Ensemble. A member of the marching band and the BHS Wind Ensemble for four years, Emily has been a member of the orchestra for two years. She has consistently earned superior ratings at state solo and ensemble events.
