Kent State University geology professor David Hacker will lecture on “Catastrophic Landslides in Volcanic Terrains” at 6 p.m. Tuesday in room 149 of the classroom/administration building of the Trumbull campus. The event is free to the public, but attendees are encouraged to register at ksualumni.org.
Hacker is nationally known for his research in structural geology.
He authored “Earth’s Natural Hazards: Understanding Natural Disasters and Catastrophes,” one of the standard textbooks in the field.
