Mahoning, Trumbull counties to have road restrictions for work

Various roadways throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties have been issued traffic advisories by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

In Mahoning County, beginning Monday, state Route 14 between the Columbiana County line and the Portage County line will have various daily lane restrictions as a result of a $1.5 million microresurfacing project expected to finish as late as July.

State Route 46 just north of Western Reserve Road in Beaver Township is now open, while SR 46 south of Western Reserve Road is closed through mid-May for a culvert replacement. U.S. Route 62 to state Route 165 will serve as a detour for the closure. SR 46 between the Columbiana County line and state Route 446 has daily lane restrictions due to resurfacing in several locations. The work is part of a $2.4 million project expected to finish in early September.

In Canfield, U.S. Route 62 between Dartmouth Avenue and the northern Canfield corporation limit has various daily lane restrictions due to a $1.2 million road-widening project expected to finish by late July.

Interstate 76 in Milton Township between the Portage County line and state Route 534 will have various restrictions between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to pavement and resurfacing work. I-76 and Interstate 80 between the Portage County line and SR 46 has various daily lane restrictions as a result of bridge repairs which are a part of a $4.9 million project to resurface I-76 and I-80, expected to be finished in July.

In Berlin and Goshen townships, SR 543 south of Calla Road to U.S. Route 224 will have various daily lane restrictions due to a $1.3 million resurfacing project expected to finish in late July.

Beginning May 1, state Route 617 in Springfield Township between state Route 165 and the Pennsylvania state line will have various daily lane restrictions as a result of a $970,000 resurfacing project.

In Trumbull County, state Routes 7 and 46 in Hubbard, Brookfield, Howland and Bazetta townships will have various daily lane restrictions due to resurfacing, beginning May 1. This work is the start of a $1.5 million project.

State Routes 11, 45 and 46 in Lordstown Village and Vienna, Howland, Warren and Weathersfield townships have various daily lane restrictions: SR 11 between state Route 82 and King Graves Road; SR 45 between the Mahoning County line and just south of Warren’s corporation limit; and SR 46 between the Mahoning County line and CSX Railroad and between U.S. Route 422 to just south of SR 82.

This work is part of a $1.9 million microsurface project throughout Trumbull County.

Interstate 80 in Austintown and Liberty townships and Girard will have various daily lane restrictions during the installation of a noise wall between the Mahoning County line and Salt Springs Road through mid-April. SR 11 southbound over I-80 will be reduced to one lane beginning May 1 through early June during work on the bridge.

The ramp on I-80 eastbound to U.S. Route 422 will be closed through July, with a detour from Interstate 680 southbound to state Route 711 northbound to U.S. Route 422.

The ramp from U.S. 422 to state Route 711 westbound is closed through December, with a detour from Route 422 to SR 711 southbound to I-680 northbound to I-80 westbound.

The ramp from SR 11 southbound to I-80 eastbound is closed through December, with a detour from SR 711 southbound to Gypsy Lane eastbound to state Route 193 (Belmont Avenue).

The work on I-80 is part of a $91.5 million project to widen I-80 between SR 11 and SR 193, with an expected completion in July 2018.

In Howland and Vienna townships, SR 82 from east of Market Street to east of SR 193 has various daily lane restrictions for road resurfacing.
