‘Concert of Worship’ set for Sunday

The Rev. Carol Missik will present the “Concert of Worship” beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday at Chestnut Ridge Church of God, 7215 Chestnut Ridge Road.

Special performing guests are Loree Schmidt, the Men’s Praise Team of Chestnut Ridge Church, various soloists and instrumentalists, and the Rev. Carol Missik at the keyboard.

A free-will offering will be received to support Operation Capital City, an affiliate of South East Asia Prayer Center headquartered in Oakmont, Pa.

Divine Mercy devotion

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, will celebrate a Divine Mercy devotion at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be sung followed by veneration of the Divine Mercy image.

St. Patrick Parish plans Feast of Divine Mercy

St. Patrick Parish, 367 N. Main St., will celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday beginning with Mass at 11 a.m. and followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 3 p.m.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 2 until 2:30 p.m. in the Reconciliation Chapel.

At 3 p.m., the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed, followed by veneration of the Divine Mercy Image and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

Guided Labyrinth Walk at Ursuline Center

The Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road, invites the public to participate in its 2017 Guided Labyrinth Walks.

This year’s themes will focus on deepening your friendship with God and will be based on the life of St. Ursula, for whom they are named.

The Labyrinth is open year-round from dawn to dusk to all people of faith.

Center offers healing, deliverance course

Master’s Touch Healing and Training Center, 5357 S. Raccoon Road, is offering an eight-week DVD course on healing and deliverance for anyone feeling frustrated or trapped.

The course will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday or at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Eagle of the Cross

Twenty-six teens will be presented with the 2017 Eagle of the Cross Award at the 19th annual Eagle of the Cross Awards Liturgy and Banquet at 6 p.m. May 2 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel.

The banquet is by invitation only, but the liturgy celebrated by Bishop George V. Murry is open to the public.

Coach Holtz to speak

This year’s Men’s Rally in the Valley will feature legendary football coach and ESPN analyst Lou Holtz.

The rally will take place next Saturday at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St.

Also speaking will be Kyle Maynard of Atlanta, who was born with a condition known as congenital amputation. Both his arms end at the elbows, and his legs both end near the knees.
