One is a five-year renewal of a 1-mill permanent improvement levy that generates $380,839 annually. It costs the owner of a $100,000 home $30.63 per year.
The other five-year renewal levy is a 5.7-mill emergency levy that generates $2.1 million per year and costs the owner of a $100,000 home $174.56 per year.
Poland Local Schools operate on an approximately $20 million annual general-fund budget.
The district employs 262 people.
A teacher starting on step zero of Poland’s salary scale makes between approximately $27,000 and $42,000, depending on education level.
