The parents of Katherine Cidney Portell and Nicholas Anthony Yacovone, both of Memphis, Tenn., are announcing the engagement of their children. The bride-elect is the daughter of Thomas J. and Rosanna McMillan-Portell of Manassas, Va. The prospective groom is the son of Jordan and Lori Yacovone of Youngstown.
The ceremony will take place Aug. 12 at St. Christine Church, Youngstown. A reception will follow at the Maronite Center. Invitations will be issued for both events.
Miss Portell graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree of fine arts. She is a support specialist for Raymond James Financial Services in Memphis.
Mr. Yacovone is pursuing a master’s degree of business administration at University of Memphis. He is an associate plant finance manager for the J.M. Smucker Company, Memphis.
