April 7

Theft by deception: An assistant manager with Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service, 215 Boardman-Poland Road, told police a customer failed to pay a $32 service charge for four tires that he had bought and were to have been mounted on rims.

Criminal mischief: A Tod Avenue woman reported someone had tossed several eggs at and struck her vehicle.

Burglary: To a residence in the 3900 block of Hopkins Road before the homeowner returned to discover an interior door was open. Nothing appeared to be missing or to have been disturbed, however.

Domestic violence: Officers took custody of Isaih D. Nuckles, 20, of Cooper Street, Youngstown, who was charged with the crime after a March 24 situation in which a Boardman woman alleged he had threatened to punch her face and get other people to harm the accuser. Nuckles apparently was upset because the victim forbade him from seeing their son, a report said.

Theft: Authorities booked Kathy L. Williams, 61, of East Third Street, Salem, who was accused of stealing miscellaneous mail last month from several tenants of a Wolosyn Circle apartment building.

Theft/criminal damaging: A Cook Avenue man told police someone had broken his car’s driver’s-side window, then removed $300.

Aggravated menacing: A worker for a Tiffany Boulevard motel alleged a tenant had threatened to kill him when the accuser told the tenant he needed to leave.

Arrests: Authorities arrested Travis L. Haupt, 27, of state Route 45, Lisbon, and Eric A. Pagani, 35, of Fredricktown-Clarkson Road, Negley, on warrants charging them with inducing panic after police had responded to an East Western Reserve Road gas station March 13 regarding a possible drug overdose in which one of the men was reportedly found unconscious in the business, the other passed out in a nearby truck. Both were taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for heroin overdoses, a report showed.

Drugs: Officers were dispatched to a South Avenue restaurant regarding possible drug activity before they charged Danielle M. Melnek, 29, with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments. Melnek, of South Manin Street, Austintown, had a pipe with what appeared to be crack-cocaine residue, a small quantity of loose marijuana and a hypodermic needle, police alleged.

April 8

Domestic violence: A 14-year-old township boy faced a charge after his mother alleged the teen had held a 3-inch steak knife in a threatening manner, then threatened to kill the accuser during an argument after she had unplugged his TV the night before.

Citation: A traffic stop near Market Street led to a minor-misdemeanor citation charging Katrina M. Perkins, 27, of Council Rock Avenue, Youngstown, with having suspected marijuana.

Theft: A 17-year-old Campbell boy was accused of stealing a $30 mini Bluetooth speaker from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Citation: Police handed Ja Shawn L. Ray of Lilburne Drive, Youngstown, a minor misdemeanor citation after having pulled him over near Market Street. Ray, 23, was charged with marijuana possession.

Theft: A temporary registration tag was missing from a car in the 1300 block of Doral Drive.

Drugs: A security guard with Akron Children’s Hospital, 6505 Market St., told authorities he had found in a waiting room a bag that contained 10 used hypodermic needles, a spoon with burn marks common in drug use and a smaller bag with 8 grams of fentanyl.

Assault: A Market Street man alleged his fianc e had slapped his face during an argument related to beer.

Theft: A man noticed his wallet and prescription medication were missing from his Clifton Drive home.

Criminal mischief: A Gardenwood Place man saw that eggs had been tossed at the rear of his truck.

Harassment: A Spring Park Drive woman said her former husband has been sending her several unwanted text messages.

Identity fraud: A Brookfield Avenue woman told police that after going online to access her checking account, she discovered several unauthorized transactions that totaled about $610 had been made with her debit card.

April 9

Aggravated menacing/animal cruelty: A Euclid Boulevard woman alleged her roommate had abused his two dogs and that he had threatened her with a knife.

Attempted theft: A neighbor told a West Boulevard woman he had seen two people enter her vehicle, though nothing appeared to have been taken.

Arrest: Weathersfield Township police handed to Boardman authorities Brian J. Moran, 36, of Sugar Pines Drive, Warren, who was wanted on felony warrants charging breaking and entering and theft by deception, as well as on a criminal-damaging charge. On March 20, someone had broken into several storage units at Uncle Bob’s Storage Facility (now Life Storage), 446 Boardman-Canfield Road, and damaged the padlocks, a report showed.

Counterfeit: A man in the 800 block of Park Harbour Drive reported having found a Pennsylvania license plate that police later determined was counterfeit.

Identity theft: A North Cadillac Drive woman said she received an email stating that five transactions from an account that totaled $150 had been made in her name with a credit card she does not own.

Domestic violence: A 12-year-old Salem girl was charged after her mother alleged that during an argument at a township location, the girl had shoved the accuser into a van and struck her with a small board.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old Boardman boy was accused of pushing and tacking his grandfather during a discussion about the teen’s unruly behavior.

Theft: Raymond L. Edwards III, 57, who listed Youngstown addresses on Truesdale and Willis avenues, was charged in the theft of 32 boxes of an over-the-counter medication from Marc’s, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.

Criminal damaging/threats: Officers responded to a neighbor dispute in the 30 block of Indianola Road, where a man alleged a woman had threatened him. The woman alleged the man had become angered and broke a pane of glass to her apartment, though neither wished to file charges against the other.

Robbery: A woman reported a group of four or five people had assaulted her at a Market Street chain store and demanded money. Police found scratches on the victim’s face and a swollen left eye, a report stated.

April 10

Criminal damaging: A Wildwood Drive woman reported someone had flipped over and damaged a trash can and some of her patio furniture. Damage was estimated at $200.

Arrest: Officers responded to a complaint that someone on a bicycle had refused to leave a Boardman-Poland Road fast-food restaurant’s drive-through before charging Stephen A. Rivers of Boardman Boulevard, Boardman, with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct while intoxicated. An inebriated Rivers, 22, also refused several times to identify himself for police, they said.
