BOTANICAL MORNINGS

AUTUMN PLANT SALE

What: Ornamental cabbage, gourds, pumpkins, chrysanthemums, plus a variety of spring blooming bulbs will be for sale.

botanical stars: ASTERS AND GOLDENRODS
When: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday
What: Asters and goldenrods are the stars of the botanical world in late summer and through the fall. The diversity of these two varieties of wildflowers is incredible but also overwhelming when trying to identify them. Learn about the ecological role of asters and goldenrods and spend time outdoors identifying species common at the Nature Center.

SEED SWAP
When: 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 2
Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens
What: Free public event that aims to empower community members to take an active role in their nutrition and landscape by growing their own food and plants. Attendees will learn about various types of seeds, how to propagate seeds, how to participate in seed libraries, and gather information from local vendors and organizations.
Cost: Free, with seed donation to the Antonucci Horticulture Seed Library

RELAX AND DE-STRESS EVENT
When: 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 2
What: Everyone needs to manage their stress these days. Take advantage of some relaxing activities such as a free 10-minute shoulder massage, strolling through the peaceful woods, walking the labyrinth, relaxing by the pond, listening to live music and more.
