YSO to present Autumn Musicale

Preparing for Autumn Musicale are musicians Natalie Sahyoun and Gloria Slocum and event sponsors Sam Boak (Boak and Sons) and Paul Johnson (Adolph Johnson & Son). The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will present the event at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Overture Lobby at Flad Pavilion, DeYor Center for the Performing Arts, 260 W. Federal St., downtown Youngstown. Joining the orchestra and conductor Randall Craig Fleischer will be vocalist Tania Grubbs. A program of popular songbook selections including “Blue Skies,” “My Heart Will Go On,” “Old Black Magic” and light classics from Chopin’s Polonaise, Williams’ Hedwig’s Theme and Prayer from Tchaikovsky’s Mozartianna will be presented. For the first time, orchestra patrons will be seated tableside in the informal setting of Flad Pavilion, which will be transformed into a dining concert hall. Doors open at 6 p.m., and food and beverages may be ordered and will be served to the 7 p.m. concert. Food and beverage service also will be available at intermission.
