Roads Levy
A 1-mill, five-year roads levy that will generate $614,966 annually. The levy will cost the owner of a $100,000 home $35 annually.
Austintown has two, five-year road levies generating $1.1 million annually.
The total effective rate for both levies is 1.78 mills.
Owners of a $100,000 home pay about $55 a year.
The township’s total budget for 2016 was approximately $17.9 million.
The road department’s total budget for 2016 was approximately $3.1 million; $1,350,000 of that came from the township’s general fund. This includes $400,000 for the resurfacing just completed plus the $232,000 for LeHarps Issue I Road Improvement project completed this spring.

Austintown Police Department has 41 officers including the chief.
A patrolman’s average annual salary is $43,238.
