Evangelist to speak

YOUNGSTOWN

The Rev. Jonathan Mitchell and Faith Fellowship Church of God, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., will host speaker Ron Lindsey, Canadian evangelist, during worship at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Claudine Bridges will play worship music on the pipe organ from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

Crossing Paths

Crossing Paths local TV ministry, founded by Donald G. Reed Sr., will have the annual Christmas banquet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Brentford House, 737 Myron St.

Guest speaker will be Michael R. DeLeon, an ex-offender who had a drug addiction and gang involvement. In 2000, he founded Steered Straight Inc. a nonprofit organization that works with youths on the dangers of drugs, gang involvement and criminal activity.

The event is free and open to the public; reservations are required for the dinner buffet. Reservations are due by Sunday by calling 724-813-6846 or 724-342-9632. Sponsorship is $100 for a table of eight. An offering will be taken. It is requested no children younger than 14 attend.

Choir anniversary

Phillips Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Ave., will host a program for the New Generation choir anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Young adult choirs, soloists, praise dancers and mimes of other churches are invited to participate. Ministries chapter

Ohio Valley Teen Challenge participants will speak when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday at Lariccia Family Community Center, Rotary Room in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road (Route 224).

Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7. Participants will share testimonies of deliverance from addiction. They also will sell handmade gifts.
