Shereen Ramahi became the bride of Christopher Conlan on Sept. 10. The afternoon ceremony took place in St. Patrick Church and was officiated by the Rev. Michael Swierz. A reception followed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown.

The bride is the daughter of Christine L. Richards of Austintown. The groom is the son of Mike and Kathy Conlan of Liberty.

Mrs. Conlan wore an ivory-over-oyster gown adorned with beading and lace.

Dania AlShafei was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Megan Palmer; Katie Conlan, a sister of the groom; Aya AlShafei; Maria Granchie; Alexis Kubina, cousin of the bride; Alexis Bucci; and Brooke Meenachan. Adanna Johnstone was junior bridesmaid, and the attendants wore plum-colored dresses.

Zach Conlan, brother of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were Justin Carroll, Nick Sebastiano, Nathan DeCheco, Michael Bucci Jr., Aron Lough, William Schindell and Matthew Backes. A cousin of the bride, Weston Johnstone, was the ring bearer.

The couple traveled to Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico, for their wedding trip, and reside in Boardman.

Mrs. Conlan graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work and is an accounts payable fiscal specialist for Mahoning Columbiana Training Association of Ohio.

Mr. Conlan graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in business and marketing. He is a key accounts manager for Santa’s Workshop LLC in Youngstown.
