Pa. man faces charges after arrest in Liberty

Tuesday, May 24, 2016

LIBERTY — A Pennsylvania man will be arraigned in Girard Municipal Court later this week on charges of improperly handing a firearm and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

An officer stopped Marcus Horvath, 33, of Hermitage Pa., about 11:55 p.m. Saturday for lack of license-plate illumination, driving over the center line and driving 51 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone, according to a police report.

Police reported Horvath smelled of alcohol and failed a series of field-sobriety tests. He declined to take a blood-alcohol content test.

Horvath had a loaded handgun in the glovebox, for which he had a concealed-carry permit, police reported. He was also cited for speeding.
