Tuesday, May 24, 2016

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department announced today it will seek the death penalty in Charleston, S.C., church shooting case.

The U.S. Attorney General cites "nature of the alleged crime and the resulting harm," as the reason for seeking capital punishment against Dylann Roof.

Roof is accused of killing nine people during a Bible study at the church June 17, 2015.
