YOUNGSTOWN — The selection committee charged with recommending candidates for two vacant seats on the Mill Creek MetroParks Board of Parks Commissioners will meet at 6 tonight to review the 16 applications that were submitted.
The committee, recently empaneled by Mahoning County Probate Judge Robert N. Rusu Jr. (the appointing authority for the park-district board), will select several candidates and forward their applications to the judge for consideration. He has said that he wants recommendations by May 27.
The judge will then select two candidates. He plans to have them in place by June 13, the next time the park board meets.
