Youngstown Cinema, the film series housed in the M Gallery, 112 W. Commerce St., downtown, will screen “Dr. Strangelove [Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb]” at 8 p.m. Friday.
Admission is $10 at the door, or $8 in advance at youngstowncinema.com.
The classic 1964 film by director Stanley Kubrick is a black comedy about an insane general who triggers a path to nuclear holocaust that a room full of politicians and generals frantically tries to stop.
Also on the schedule this month at Youngstown Cinema are:
“Trainspotting” (1996), directed by Danny Boyle. a film about a heroin addict in Scotland who tries to clean up despite his friends (8 p.m.).
“City Dragon” (1995), directed by Phil Phillips, an action-comedy about a martial artist (8 p.m.).
