Chuck Wagon Gang at Dutch Village
The renowned gospel music quartet Chuck Wagon Gang will appear at Dutch Village Inn, 150 E. state Route 14, Columbiana, for three concerts: noon April 14, and noon and 7 p.m. April 15. Started in 1935, the Chuck Wagon Gang is the oldest mixed-gospel group with ties to its original founding that is still performing and recording. Voted the No. 1 gospel group of all time by Southern Gospel Radio, the group maintains a clear and uncluttered sound, presenting old favorites such as “I’ll Fly Away,” “Higher,” “I’ll Meet You in the Morning” and others. The current lineup is Shaye Smith, Stan Hill, Melissa Kemper and Jeremy Stephens. The evening performance ($49.50) includes a four-course gourmet buffet, and the matinees ($44.50) feature a four-course plated luncheon. A package is available that also includes overnight lodging.
