v “The Upper Room,” 7:30 p.m.: An original Easter musical (free admission) by Top Hat Productions at Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown Poland Road, Youngstown.

v Area Artists Annual Exhibition, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Roughly 90 works of art by regional artists are on display in this lively exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown.

v Hoyt Regional Juried Art Show, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The Hoyt Institute of Fine Art’s annual show is a counterpart to the Butler’s. The Hoyt is at 124 E. Leasure Ave., New Castle, Pa.

“Mad Max: FURY ROAD” (8 P.M., HBO): “Mad Max: Fury Road” is a mind-blowing, turbocharged, post-apocalyptic chase epic. If you missed it in theaters, now you can see why director George Miller’s reboot of the movie series recently roared away with six Oscars.

Playhouse Square unveils 2016-17 Broadway series

Playhouse Square has announced its 2016-17 KeyBank Broadway Series. Season tickets are available by calling 216-640-8800 or online at playhousesquare.org/broadway. Packages range from $70-$630, with monthly payment plans available. Here is the schedule:

“Fun Home,” Oct. 2-22: Winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best Musical. Based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling graphic memoir, “Fun Home” introduces us to Alison at three different ages as she explores the mysteries of her childhood.

“Finding Neverland,” Nov. 1-20: The incredible story behind the creation of one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan.

“Into the Woods,” Jan. 10-29: The Tony Award winning musical classic by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim.

“The King and I,” Feb. 7-26: Lincoln Center Theater’s acclaimed production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s musical won four 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical.

“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” March 21-April 9: Winner of five 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Play. It looks in on 15-year-old Christopher, who is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit.

“Something Rotten,” April 25-May 14, 2017:, Comedy about two brothers who set out to write the world’s very first musical.

“An American in Paris,” June 20-July 9, 2017: The new Tony Award-winning musical about an American soldier, a mysterious French girl and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war.
