Center, Perry, Wayne and Liverpool townships, as well as East Liverpool, are being reviewed this week for the 2016 property revaluation.

In connection with the continuing revaluation of all Columbiana County properties, the appraisers are reviewing residential and agricultural properties in the four townships and East Liverpool.

County Auditor Nancy Milliken says residential and agricultural appraisers hired by the county are out in these areas with the objective of capturing accurate information concerning many homes and farms.

Appraisers will be visiting property owners between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. today through Friday in order to interview them about particular characteristics of their home or farm.

An on-foot/drive-by inspection of the exterior of the properties may be part of the process.

Milliken says there is no cause for alarm if witnessing such an inspection, but she also stresses it is important the appraiser in question has a valid revaluation identification.

The appraisers will not necessarily be going to each house in a particular area, so don’t be concerned if someone is in the neighborhood and does not visit.

If no one is home at the time of the visit, the appraisers will leave a door card questionnaire, which property owners are requested to complete and mail back to the auditor’s field appraisal office.

Call the office at 330-424-9515 with questions.
