MARK OF EXCELLENCE

Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC of Boardman and Greenwood Chevrolet of Austintown recently announced they were both recognized by General Motors as Mark of Excellence Dealers. The award recognizes a small number of dealers with excellence in sales and customer satisfaction.

AWARDED

Two of the highest honors given by VisitMercerCountyPA, the tourist promotion agency for Mercer County, are the Bill Knecht Tourism Award and the James E. Winner Jr. Tourism Initiative Award. For 2016, Jennifer and Rick Barborak have been selected to receive the Bill Knecht Tourism Award, and Carried Away Outfitters will receive the James E. Winner Jr. Tourism Initiative Award. The Barboraks have dedicated themselves to the preservation of the Shenango River waterways during the past 15 years. Under the leadership of the Barboraks, the Shenango River Watchers Inc., a non-profit watershed group, was formed to restore and protect the environmental, scenic and recreational attributes of the Shenango River Watershed. Carried Away Outfitters received the James E. Winner Initiative Award for its proactive and idea-driven tourism business.

HIRED

Columbiana Ford recently hired Sarah Graziani as its new service manager. Graziani has been in the automotive service industry for 20 years serving the tri-county area.

BANKING

Cortland Banks recently announced several promotions and new hires during the first quarter and second quarter of 2016: Stanley Magielski, vice president, senior commercial banking officer, was promoted to Mahoning Valley group leader; Mark Taylor was recently hired as vice president, commercial banking officer; David Bell was hired as vice president, senior commercial banking officer, greater Cleveland team leader; Kevin Culp was hired as vice president, commercial loan officer; Ryan Skelly was promoted to the position of commercial banking portfolio manager; Nate Marshall was hired as vice president, private bank relationship manager; Amy Manolio was hired as vice president, private bank relationship manager; Greg Stallman was hired as vice president, retail mortgage banking officer; Karen Jindra was hired as vice president, retail mortgage banking officer; Jacky Treharne was promoted to vice president, mortgage operations manager; Michael Lipke was hired as vice president, special assets and loan review; and Julianna Marsco was hired as marketing coordinator.
