GOP CONVENTION | Kasich thanks supporters at Rock and Roll Hall

CLEVELAND — Ohio Gov. John Kasich spoke for about seven minutes to a packed crowd at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thanking supporters of his failed presidential campaign.

Kasich won the primary in only his home state before quitting the race.

Kasich said: "To go forward I would have to tell people things that weren't true and I didn't want to lose (my) message" of hope and unity.

Kasich said the presidential campaign changed him for the better.
