CLEVELAND

Cleveland police are investigating a shooting that wounded five people outside a nightclub in an event that didn’t appear related to the upcoming Republican National Convention.

Police say several gunmen were likely involved in the shooting outside the Agora Theater and Ballroom east of downtown about 2 a.m. Saturday.

Cleveland police spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia says investigators found multiple casings at the scene from three different caliber guns.

She says there’s no information on a suspect and witnesses and victims aren’t cooperating.

The condition of the victims, who were taken to neighboring hospitals, wasn’t immediately known.
