Home Again Consignment store in Boardman is a family owned and operated business that opened in 2012.

Larry Deckant first opened the store in 2012 as South Avenue Flea Market. Deckant’s daughter, Sophia DeRobbio, joined her father shortly after the flea market was opened and turned South Avenue Flea Market into Home Again Consignment. Noticing that the smaller items weren’t selling well, DeRobbio started bringing in furniture and arranging room setups which brought in more customers.

“It started taking off so we do consignment now. It’s great for families are starting out, who just had a baby or just got married who can’t go buy new. They can come here and get really nice stuff for cheap,” said DeRobbio.

It’s an opportunity for people to earn a little extra income for those who want to sell their items, Home Again offers a 50/50 consignment rate. Items that come in range from one of a kind antiques to nickel-dime items and is constantly changing. Home Again offers layaway and delivery as an option when purchasing items.

“We are going to do repurposing workshops, stuff that everybody has at home, where we can redo different items and make them look cooler,” said DeRobbio.

Customers will have the opportunity to participate in workshops that DeRobbio is going to start doing once a month. For a small fee, people can sign up and bring in their own items they want to transform into something else.

DeRobbio set the store up so that customers can get an idea of what different pieces of furniture look like as a set. Each part of the store is separated in different sections like the kitchen area, bedroom area, living room area and more.

Home Again Consignment is starting to introduce several new amenities for their customers. There is a new Ruff Room, a tent sale is being planned for July 22-24 and a Wish List is available for those who are looking for an item, but can’t find it. Those placed on the Wish List will be notified first if an item comes in that they were looking for.

Home Again Consignment is located on 7689 South Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
