New Castle police seek info on murder suspect believed to be at-large
NEW CASTLE, Pa.
Police are asking the public for information about a suspect wanted in connection with an early morning shooting that killed a man and injured a woman.
Officers responded to 119 E. Meyer Ave. for reports of shots fired about 4:17 a.m. today. There, police reported finding a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Lloyd Johnson, 21, was transported initially to Jameson Hospital and then to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:46 a.m. today, according to a New Castle Police Department news release.
The news release states the second victim, a 21-year-old woman, was transported to Jameson Hospital and treated for a bullet wound in the area of her right wrist.
Police have named JuJuan Andre Jackson, 33, as a suspect. Police say Jackson is the injured woman’s ex-boyfriend and report that he has been on the New Castle Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list in connection with an attempted 2015 homicide.
