YOUNGSTOWN
The homes of two area veterans have new looks this week.
Youth Students With A Task (SWAT) Team from Toledo’s Epworth United Methodist Church recently joined forces with the United Methodist Community Center in Liberty to help the veterans by sprucing up and repairing their homes.
Recipients of the SWAT Team’s efforts are World War II Army veteran Lewis M. Holmes, 96, of Youngstown, and Vietnam War Era Navy veteran, Bill Williams, 68, of Newton Falls, who has a military disability.
The men were recommended for the projects by the Mahoning County and Trumbull County Veteran Services commissions.
