Open kids’ eyes to a world of reading

Help your child learn about the world and introduce him or her to the love of reading and travel.

Name: KidsTravelBooks.com

What it does: You can browse children’s books from all over the world to learn about other cultures, prepare for a trip, read book reviews and author interviews, get family travel tips and more.

What’s hot: The depth of global coverage on KidsTravelBooks is unexpected and comprehensive, with books arranged by continent and country. I want to go to the Dominican Republic, but I’m not quite ready to book a flight. I wondered if it had any kids’ books on it, clicked the link and found four books that I could buy that might help me make a decision. The Books by Type section helps you fine-tune your search for books about history, everyday life, true stories, activities and more. Don’t miss the blog, which has author interviews and book reviews, and the Resource Library, with summer reading programs.

What’s not: I’d like to see books filtered by age group. The reviews mention the age the books are for, but I had to search for it. I saw lots of picture books, but I’d love to see more books for older kids. I know they’re there, but I want an easier way to find them.
