Aut Mori Grotto installs officers for 2016

YOUNGSTOWN

Members of Aut Mori Grotto gathered at its club hall on Jan. 16 to install monarch Ron Craig and officers for 2016.

Craig is an active member of the Aut Mori Grotto clown unit, where he is known as Pudge the Clown. His memberships also include the York Rite of Youngstown, Argus Lodge with 41 years of service, and AMVETS and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Craig retired from General Motors after 31 years of service and recently retired from his Boardman business, Western Reserve Flag Company. He is a Marine Corps and Air Force Vietnam veteran. He lives in Boardman with his wife of 50 years, Maureen; their family is completed by sons R. Sean and Robert, grandchildren Ron, Tiana, John, Ryan and Emily, and great-granddaughter Ryleigh.

Officers installed at the meeting include junior past monarch Ed Ross, chief justice Max Pokorski, master of ceremonies Dave Humphrey, secretary Gary Farrant, treasurer Sean Craig, venerable prophet Gary Shane, orator Dale Hawkins, chaplain Pierre Shawver, marshall Dave Powell, captain of the guard Charles Graham and sentinels J.J. Losasso and Tom Nevin.

Powell, Ross and Jesse Boles were installed to the board of governors.

The non-profit Grottoes of America support local charities like Akron Children’s Hospital and Sojourner House. The group also focuses on the issues of cerebral palsy and dentistry for challenged children under 17. For information on the Grotto, contact Craig at 330-720-2660.
