Today’s entertainment picks:

v Toughest Monster Trucks tour, 7:30 p.m.: They’re not really monsters, but they’ll make a lot of noise at Covelli Centre ($10 to $28); 800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com.

v Night of Irish Music, 6:30 p.m.: The area’s best Irish musicians and dancers will convene at St. Joseph church hall, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, Pa.; free admission.

v No Bad Juju, 9 p.m.: First-rate show band from Pittsburgh at California Palms Hotel, state Route 46 at the I-80 interchange, Austintown; free admission.

Screen Actors Guild Awards (8 p.m., TNT): The 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards is another opportunity for TV and movie folk to honor each other and wear lots of sparkly things.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Tiffany Anderson is the new director of Africana Studies at Youngstown State University. She will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the activities and events in celebration of African American History Month on the campus throughout the month.

Next, local performer Joselyn “JP” Parker will discuss her new project, “Sincerely, Youngstown – A Love Letter to the City,” with local entertainer Janis Jones.

Finally, Frank Rulli and Leann Rich will discuss the “Cookie Table & Cocktails” event to benefit the the Tyler History Center.

“Increase the Peace” (today at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on MyYTV): Host Andrea Mahone will welcome Jennifer Kollar from Mahoning County Children Services and Jason Pavone, a foster care giver, who will discuss the joys of becoming a foster parent and why it is vital to our community’s future.

“A Conversation with Dee” (Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on WKBN-TV): Host Dee Crawford’s guests will be Lynn Wyant and John Muckridge from the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, who will discuss their work and their fundraiser in February.

“Senior Focus” (today and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on Armstrong Cable channels 20 and 100): Host Bill Adams will talk with Trumbull County Senior Levy Administrator Diane Siskowic-Jurkovic about services provided through levy funds.

Lil Fizz at Liquid Blu

Hip-hop star Lil Fizz, formerly of B2K, will be at Liquid Blu nightclub, 21 W. Federal St., tonight. Lil Fizz is the star of the VH1 show “Love of Hip-Hop Hollywood.”
