YOUNGSTOWN — A woman who crashed her car and fell over a South Side embankment early Sunday morning also had a gunshot wound, police said.

Officers were called at about 5:15 a.m. to Pasadena and Erie avenues for a report of a car that had crashed and burst into flames.

Officers found the car at the bottom of an embankment and two women inside. They made their way down the embankment and the 33-year-old driver told them she had been shot somewhere on Pasadena Avenue.

Reports said the officers found a bullet hole in the back of the driver's seat and the victim was bleeding.

She was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment.
