HEALTH CARE
Park Vista of Youngstown and Senior Independence recently announced the hiring of Susan Berny as the new director of gift planning. She will be responsible for endowing the Mahoning Valley Lifelong Learning Institute housed at Park Vista, and growing the hospice major gift fundraising program for Mahoning Valley Senior Independence. Berny brings extensive experience in community fund development along with a background in nursing. Most recently, she was a board member for Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio, Easter Seals, the YWCA of Youngstown and a member of the Akron Children’s Hospital Steering Committee.
BANKING
The Home Savings and Loan Co. recently hired James King as retail manager serving both the Columbiana and Salem branches. King brings 13 years of experience. He will be responsible for ensuring quality customer service, operations of the branch and sales results of branch employees. Before joining Home Savings, King served as branch manager at U.S. Bank. Home Savings is a subsidiary of United Community Financial Corp.
ACCOUNTING
Bodine Perry LLC recently announced the addition of Nicole M. Ramson as a CPA for the firm. Ramson joined the team in October 2015 as a senior accountant in the Bodine Perry Canfield office. She will assist the firm’s tax, accounting and audit departments.
