VFW Post 9571 honored at national events

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9571 of Ellsworth was honored with the distinction of All-State Post for 2015-2016 during the VFW Department Convention June 11 in Independence, Ohio, and at the VFW National Convention July 22-27 in Charlotte, N.C. This is the highest honor a post can receive. Ellsworth VFW Post was chartered in 1947. Above, VFW Commander-in-Chief John A. Biedrzycki presents the All-American Post Commander Certificate to 2015-2016 Post 9571 Commander James A. Tornincasa Jr. at the convention. Tornincasa and Quartermaster Ray Schafer received white VFW hats to signify the department honor and a red, white and blue VFW hat for the national recognition.
