“summer of dreams” (9 p.m., hallmark): In this new TV film, 1980s pop star Debbie Gibson plays a 1980s pop star named Debbie Taylor. Yes, it’s a stretch but we hope she can pull it off.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-tV): Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will celebrate its 65th anniversary with a scholarship dinner and auction. Eugenia Atkinson and Camille Pinkard of the group will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event and the continuation of the celebration with a book signing with Youngstown native Justice Nathaniel Jones.
Next, Mark Mellott and Steve Burbrink of the Mercy Health Man Up program will discuss an upcoming event to raise awareness of prostate cancer that will involve a comedy show.
“A Conversation with Dee” (today at 6:30 p.m. on MyYTV and Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV-TV): Guest host Katie Dugan will welcome Fred Wolfe, who will discuss the TrackMack Event at Nelson Ledges and also guests Ralph Cavanaugh and David Howe from Siffrin who will talk about their organization, which helps those with disabilities.

Wildwater water park will close
AURORA
Wildwater Kingdom water park is closing after the 2016 season, according to a news release from its owner, Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. Its final day of operation will be Sept. 5.
Cedar Fair has been working with both Bainbridge Township and the city of Aurora to redevelop the entire property into what will best benefit the surrounding communities, according to the news release. After examining its long-range plans, Cedar Fair said it has determined that the time is right to begin this transition and will continue to work together with community leadership in the positive future development of the property.
The company did not offer any further information, but it did thank Northeast Ohio residents for their support over the years.
