Pair faces drug charges after early-morning traffic stop
AUSTINTOWN — A traffic stop on Mahoning Avenue early this morning led township police to find cocaine and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle.
Tashuanna Perkins, 31, of Youngstown and Barbara Kosap, 53, of Boardman are charged with one count each of felony-five possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.
Shanika Simmons, 32, of Youngstown was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Trumbull County for a probation violation.
Police stopped the vehicle about 2:15 a.m. on Mahoning near Benton Avenue, and reportedly found burnt tubes and small bag containing a white powder that a field-test determined to be cocaine.
Perkins and Kosap were taken to the Mahoning County jail.
