Chamber, MAGNET Partnership to offer new opportunities

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, or MAGNET, of Cleveland have partnered to offer new growth opportunities to manufacturers in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

The partnership gives small-to-medium-sized companies access to MAGNET’s consulting services that include sales and marketing, process improvements, product innovation, engineering product design and development, workforce and talent development and logistics.

Walmart accepting grant applications

COLUMBUS

The Walmart Foundation will begin accepting grant applications to its State Giving Program on Monday. The Walmart Foundation will award grants between $25,000 and $200,000 to Ohio organizations that address areas of need among under-served populations.

Ohio nonprofit organizations can apply for grants to support programs that are focused on hunger relief and healthy eating, career opportunity, disaster preparedness and community engagement. The deadline to submit grant requests is 11:59 p.m. next Friday.

Eligible applicants must have a current 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in order to meet the program’s minimum-funding criteria. Grant submissions are only accepted online at http://corporate.walmart.com/_foundation_/apply-for-grants/state-giving-program.
