FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will host a drive-thru chicken dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. The meal comprises chicken teriyaki over rice, vegetable, mini egg roll, asian slaw and a fortune cookie. The cost is $9 per dinner, cash only, and the proceeds will help with ministry expenses. For information call the church office at 330-533-3531.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted to continue the program.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Boardman, will serve takeout only dinners of beef tips and noodles from 2:30 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. The meal comprises Angus sirloin beef tips, noodles, corn, roll with butter and a cookie for $8. Drive to back door, place your order and it will be brought to your car. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Boardman, will host a spaghetti and meatball dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Takeout will be available. The menu includes Italian bread, salad, homemade desserts and beverages. Adult meals are $8 and $3 for children.

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard, will host a pulled-pork dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes creamy potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, buns, beverage and dessert for $8 for adults and $4 for a child’s portion. Takeouts and baked goods will be available.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday for a donation. Items include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will host a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Donations are $9 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The meal consists of Swiss steak in gravy, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, drinks and dessert. Takeouts will be available.

SUNDAY

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon sponsored by the auxiliary. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Society of St. Lucy, is sponsoring a homemade spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Palermo Banquet Center, 404 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Takeout will be available. All are welcome. For information call Carmel Opencar at 330-755-2828.

Holy Name Society of Christ The Good Shepherd Parish, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will host a drive-thru chicken dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 25. Tickets are $10 each for a half chicken, potato, vegetable and dessert and tickets may be purchased after weekend masses beginning Saturday or by calling 330 718-2778 or 330-261-8838. Pick up will be at the Porter Avenue circle.
