Boardman author will sign new release

Wendy Samford, a resident of Boardman, has been in the field of education for most of her adult career. She recently resigned as an administrator in the Boardman school district to write a book: “Out of the Dark: A Direction for Change in Education.”

The book was released two weeks ago, and she will be available to sign her book Oct. 8 at Barnes and Noble, 381 Boardman Poland Road.

Author Nancy Christie will talk shop

SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO

Author Nancy Christie, of Austintown, will be talking about fiction and reading from her latest book, “Traveling Left of Center and Other Stories,” on Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. to noon as part of the Coffee Phix Cafe’s monthly Author Author series.

Coffee Phix Caf is located at 4485 Mayfield Road.

Christie will share stories about how the collection came to be and also talk about her upcoming book projects, as well as provide details about her annual “Celebrate Short Fiction” day event. Following the event, Christie will be signing copies of her book.

Coffee Phix’s “Author Author” event takes place on the last Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and features northeast Ohio authors. For information, visit the Cafe’s website at http://coffeephixcafe.com.
