Austintown library hosted a Easter Popcorn Ball making class on March 25.

Lindsay Platt, an Austintown librarian, led a class on how to make popcorn balls for an Easter treat. Platt supplied all of the ingredients needed to make the treats and instructions were printed out on paper.

There were marshmallows, jelly beans, animal crackers, sprinkles and popcorn to make the popcorn balls come together. Platt walked around the room as people made their treats in case there were any questions or anyone needed help.

Participants softened their marshmallows in a microwave, which allowed all of the ingredients to stick together. Once the marshmallows were melted and sticky, people could add whatever treats they wanted and mix everything together.

Some of the guests had more fun eating the ingredients rather than putting them all together. Participants would pop a marshmallow or jelly bean in their mouths as they put some in their bowls to mix with the popcorn and marshmallows.
