Consignment store hosts grand opening

Love Thy Curves celebrated it’s grand opening in Boardman on April 9. Patti Huggins, owner of Love Thy Curves, relocated her plus size consignment store from North Lima to Boardman. The North Lima store was opened in December of 2014. Love Thy Curves is the only plus size consignment store in the area and sells sizes 14 and up. Products range from casual dress to fancy and elegant.
Love Thy Curves sells products such as clothes, jewelry, shoes and much more. There is a 90-day consignment period and those who bring in their clothes get 40 percent of the sale price. Whatever isn’t picked up is donated to a local charity, like the women’s shelter.
Huggins is very active on Facebook and other social media outlets. She takes the time to engage with customers on social media and be interactive.
“It’s been challenging, but it’s been great. I’ve enjoy it. It’s fun, I have met wonderful people,” said Huggins.
Being somewhere new is both exciting and nerve-wracking for Huggins. She has had a lot of help from family and friends to make sure the store would be prepared for the grand opening.
“I just wanted something to show that we should just love our curves and not be embarrassed by them or afraid. I have a lot of signs that empower women. I wanted a place where people can come in no matter what size they are, we’re not judging you, it’s judgement free. Come in and just enjoy your shopping,” said Huggins.
