Annual camp to be hosted June 22-24

The Canfield boys basketball coaching staff is ready to host the 29th Annual Youth Basketball Camp. Instructing the fundamentals is the primary objective of the camp, as CHS players and coaching staff will blend competitive events and games to exhibit growth in basketball skills. The cost of the camp is $45 per participant - all registrations received after June 3 or walk-ins will be charged an additional $5. Registration forms can be found at the main offices of all Canfield Local Schools and the athletic office at Canfield High School or online at www.mmuck7.weebly.com.

Neighbors wants spring sports news

Spring sports has begun and Neighbors wants to be there every step of the way. If you’re a sports coach or the parent of an athlete, we need your help. In order to get teams and players the recognition they deserve, we want to showcase them in our pages. We can only do that if you commit to sending us game reports and photos each week. If you send it, it will get in.

You can email us at neighbors@vindy.com. You don’t have to be a writer — just send us the information and we’ll put it all together. When emailing pictures, send them as JPEG files and as large as possible. Provide caption information and where people are located from left to right, front row to back. The sports news we’re looking for ranges from varsity high school teams down to middle school and even elementary and recreational leagues. We look forward to hearing about your teams successes.

Girls golf league to begin in May

Sandwich Factory Girls Golf League, for girls ages 5-18, will start on May 7 and will continue on Saturdays, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Mill Creek Par 3 Course. There is a $55 fee, plus greens fees. For more information, contact Paul Logan at 330-770-7394.
