ADI service launch delay on Youngstown–Chicago route

VIENNA

Aerodynamics Inc. today announced that the inauguration of service on its new Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport to Chicago O’Hare International Airport route has been delayed until June 13.

The flights were originally supposed to start June 1.

The delay will provide additional time for the U.S. Department of Transportation to grant its final approval for ADI’s Schedule Domestic Service Authority.

ADI successfully completed its required “proving runs” with the Federal Aviation Administration this past week.

The U.S. DOT must review the input from the FAA, as well as requested financial filings before rendering its final decision. The hope is that this delay will provide sufficient time for that review process to be completed.

As of now, tickets are expected to go on sale via ADI’s website and call center on May 11.

On May 15, residents will be able to purchase tickets for the flights via other reservation portals.
