FOOD

Champion-based Uncle Jim’s Wild Habanero Barbeque Sauce was recently awarded second place during the 2016 World Hot Sauce Awards competition in Lafayette, La., during the Louisiana Hot Sauce Expo.

The America-based World Hot Sauce Awards are considered the most-prestigious and coveted chili awards in the world. This year, more than 1,000 products were entered by 213 companies representing 16 countries.

Uncle Jim’s Wild Habanero Barbeque Sauce is the newest creation from Uncle Jim’s line of pepper mustards and barbecue sauces. It joins the rest of the family: Original Pepper Mustard, Habanero Pepper Mustard and Uncle Jim’s Classic Barbeque.

INSURANCE

Paige & Byrnes Insurance Agency Inc. has been recognized by Ohio Mutual Insurance Group President and CEO Mark C. Russell as one of the company’s top 10 agencies for Outstanding Profitable Growth in 2015.

Pat Gilmore received the recognition on behalf of the agency at a recent company event in Columbus.

BANKING

Consumers National Bank has announced that Kennie Croskey has joined the Minerva-based bank as the sales and service manager of its branch in Salem at 141 S. Ellsworth St. In this position, Croskey will be responsible for managing new accounts and loan applications as well as the day-to-day operations of the branch.

Croskey has 10 years of banking experience as a branch manager at regional and community banks in the Akron and Salem markets. She is a graduate of the Herzing University Akron campus.

REALTY

Real Living Volpini Realty Group recently announced that Lindsay Repp joined the company as a new associate. She earned her real-estate license from Hondros College. She graduated from McDonald High School in 2009 and also earned an associate’s degree in air-traffic control. Repp is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors.

GAMING

Penn National Gaming Inc. announced that Albert T. Britton has been named senior vice president of regional operations, effective May 16, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Britton has served as general manager of Penn National’s Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in West Virginia, a position he has had since September 2004. Penn National operates Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in Austintown.
